Should college seniors get professional senior photos done?

Ummmm, YES!!! Graduating college is a major milestone in your life! You have worked hard for 4+ years studying, working, and making the most of your college experience. Now you have earned a degree and are on your way to your next journey in life. This definitely calls for documenting this major accomplishment!

A couple things to think about when planning you college graduation photos:

1. Your cap and gown are a must. Bring these along for your session, we will use them for several fun images!

2. Let’s have your photo shoot on campus! Take me to all the places you have spent so much time at. The library where you spent countless hours studying (or not!), the building where most of your classes were held, the football field you cheered at every Saturday during football season. These pictures should bring back some of your most favorite memories during your time at your school.

3. Want a few photos with your best friends? BRING THEM ALONG! College friends are friends for life. You never know when you all will get to be together again and this is the perfect time for one last fun memory!

4. Now that you will be a professional, it will be nice to a more polished image for your social media accounts. Bring an outift that let’s the world know that you are now a professional adult. You don’t want a potential employer to look you up on social media (they definitely do this) and see a picture of you on spring break with your friends.

5. These graduation photos can be used to make grad announcements to let everyone you know about the new journey you are about to embark on.

Now that you know you need these college senior photos, let’s celebrate the the end of studying, the end of research papers, and no more finals week!!!

MEET OLIVIA

This fall I had the priviledge of photographing Olivia. She is graduating this weekend from nursing school at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. She has already accepted a job as a NICU nurse at a local hospital. NICU nurses have such a special place in my heart. My oldest son was a micro-preemie and those NICU nurses were the absolute best people. With Olivia’s sweet personality, I just know she will make the difference in so many lives and help new mama’s in their most vulnerable times.
