FOUR THINGS TO LOOK FOR WHEN HIRING A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER FOR YOU SENIOR PORTRAITS!

First of all, if you are a senior, HUGE CONGRATS! This is such an awesome time in your life! Because you’re about to close one chapter and begin the next, NOW is the perfect time to document your life with a professional portrait session! Hopefully you have been considering hiring a professional photographer and we are here to help you know what exactly that looks like to ensure a picture perfect session! 

#1 HIGH QUALITY IMAGES: Professional photographers invest in top level equipment to make sure that they can produce high quality images that can be printed in large format products (like canvases and wall prints) and stand the test of time. An iPhone or even some entry level cameras just won’t cut it. 

#2 THE EDIT: One main factor to consider is how the images have been edited. Notice the skin tone… do the seniors in the galleries have pores, freckles and natural skin tone? How about the lighting? Is the subject in the images bright and colorful? These aspects are important to observe because what you see in their portfolio will most likely be how your very own senior images appear. 

#3 THE EXPERIENCE: Some photographers offer an entire experience from including professional hair and makeup, longer sessions and ordering sessions while others offer a quick session and digital images sent online. These are two very different senior photo processes that will allow you to choose which one is best for you depending on your needs. 

#4. REVIEWS: Look over their website and social media to see what others are saying about them. Do they have lots of raving reviews or are you having trouble finding a single review anywhere? Know what others are saying about their senior session experience.
