The holiday season is one of my absolute favorite times of the year, and getting to spend it with my amazing senior team makes it even more special! This year’s Senior Team Christmas Session was full of festive fun, sweet treats, and gorgeous photos that captured the spirit of the season. I love providing my team with an experience they’ll always remember, and this session was no exception.

The Perfect Start: A Starbucks Treat

To kick off our day, I gave each of the girls a Starbucks gift card as a little holiday surprise. The best part? Watching them show up with their favorite festive drinks in hand—sugar cookie latte’s, frappucinno’s, and pumpkin spiced latte’s galore! A warm drink is the perfect companion for a chilly December morning, and it was so fun seeing their excitement as they sipped their Starbucks while arriving at the studio.

Sweet Surprises at the Studio

Once they arrived, I had another treat waiting for them—Crumbl cookies! These oversized, delicious creations were an instant hit. We had a mix of holiday-themed flavors and classic favorites, and the girls couldn’t stop raving about them. Sharing cookies and laughter before we got started made for such a fun and relaxed atmosphere, setting the tone for a great session ahead.

The Festive Studio Setup

Our studio was decked out in classic holiday elegance. The first setup featured a dramatic dark wall with oversized greenery wreaths, gold accents, and cozy velvet textures to bring a luxurious, festive vibe. The second setup offered a light, airy feel with fluffy wreaths in various textures and a stunning leather settee. Whether they were posing individually or in groups, each senior shined in the holiday magic we created.

Capturing Holiday Cheer: Rotating Through Photos

We spent the day rotating through different types of photos to make sure every senior had their moment to shine. Here’s how we broke it down:

1. Individual Portraits
   Each girl had the opportunity to showcase their unique style and personality. From sparkly holiday dresses to cozy sweaters, they each brought their A-game. Seeing their confidence grow as they posed for their individual shots was one of the highlights of my day.
2. Smaller Group Photos
   The seniors grouped together with their closest friends on the team, creating those “besties forever” moments that are so fun to capture. These smaller group shots are always a hit because they let the girls bond and relax in front of the camera.
3. Full Team Photos
   Finally, we brought everyone together for the full team photos. These shots are always my favorite because they show off the incredible bond these girls have formed over the year. Watching them laugh and cheer each other on was a reminder of why I love working with my senior teams—it’s not just about the photos; it’s about creating lifelong memories.

The Wardrobe: Holiday Glam Meets Cozy Chic

The seniors went all out with their holiday wardrobe, and I loved how they embraced the festive theme! Some opted for glittery cocktail dresses that sparkled under the studio lights, while others kept it casual with soft knits and winter boots. Every outfit added to the personality and diversity of the session, making each shot stand out.

Why I Love Senior Team Sessions

This Christmas session wasn’t just about taking beautiful photos—it was about celebrating the incredible group of seniors I’ve had the honor of working with all year. Seeing how they’ve grown in confidence and creativity is one of the most rewarding parts of being a senior photographer. These sessions are about more than the camera; they’re about connection, empowerment, and making memories that these young women will carry with them forever.
