Your senior year is going to be filled with once in a lifetime memories! Everything is so exciting, especially right as your senior year starts! The summer after your junior year officially starts senior picture season. You might feel like this is too early, but it definitely isn’t. Be the first to book your ideal date by choosing a photographer early and getting your senior session on the calendar. Just because you book in the summer, doesn’t mean you have to have your session in the summer. It gives you the flexibility to choose a time that works best for you.

One reason I always recommend you to actually have your senior portraits taken in the summer is that once school starts, your life gets really busy. Friday night football, after school practice, homework, college campus visits, and all the other fun things that make up your senior year will all be pulling for your time.

The summer boasts beautiful weather, sun drenched images, and flowers in full bloom. We have long days, with beautiful golden hour sunsets. You can wear cute summer clothing and have sun kissed skin.

Also, with not knowing how this year is going to play out and talks of another shut down possibly happening this fall/winter, I think it would be really smart to plan ahead. If you prefer to take your senior photos after school has started, plan to take them early in the fall.

The ideal time depends on what your schedule looks like. We can work in any season to give you gorgeous unique senior pictures, but when will it best fit into your schedule?

The most important thing to remember is to contact your preferred photographer well in advance of the date you’d like your session to be to ensure that you get the timeframe of your choice. So, NOW is the time to contact your photographer and start planning your senior photos and selecting a date that works best for YOU!
